Dr. Charles
Prather, President
Charles
(Charlie) Prather is President of Bottom Line Innovation
Associates, Inc. helping organizations develop Innovation
as a core competency. Many of the Fortune 100 are clients
representing chemicals, paper, consumer products, high
tech, government, financial services, and other segments.
Charlie served DuPont some 24 years in numerous R&D
and leadership positions. He was appointed Manager of
the DuPont Center for Creativity & Innovation upon
its formation and helped shape its direction and design
its offerings. He is Senior Fellow of the Robert H. Smith
School of Business at the University of Maryland, College
Park.

Charlie
is a guest lecturer at Case Western Reserve University's
Weatherhead School, is on the Board of Directors of DePaul
University's Ryan Creativity Center, and is a frequent
keynote speaker and conference presenter, authored many
articles, and his book, Blueprints for Innovation, was
published by The American Management Association. Charlie
earned his Ph.D. in biochemistry from N.C. State University.
He is from North Carolina and is bilingual in English
and Southern.

Dr. Bob Phillips
Dr.
Bob Phillips has a Ph.D. from the University of Tennessee
in Chemical Engineering and has approximately 30 years
experience in industrial innovation as a manager, project
leader, program developer, inventor and team participant.
He has been awarded more than 45 US patents and numerous
foreign equivalents.

He pioneered the use of creativity and creative problem
solving in R&D at Eastman Chemical Co. He developed
an extensive course on Discovering Customer Needs as well
as several insightful models of industrial innovation. He
has also prepared 15 yr. technology/market projections,
Delphi studies, and future scenarios for planning purposes.
He has extensive knowledge of needs driven innovation and
technology push innovation as well as estimation, binary
modeling, working with customers, interpersonal communication,
and basic team building.
Bob has presented papers at World Congress of Chemical Engineers,
International Creativity & networking conference, INDA
Fundamental Research Conference, Insight Conference, Textile
Research Conference-Princeton and the Convergence Conferences
of the Innovation Network. He is a Certified Facilitator
of "Bottom Line Innovation" workshops (Bottom
Line Innovation Associates, Inc.), and is a director of
the Innovation Network. He owns and operates Exponential
Solutions, a consulting firm in Kingsport, TN.

Ian English
Ian English is Managing Director of Breakthrough Business
Solutions in Australia. His was the first consulting firm
in Australia certified to facilitate "Bottom Line Innovation"
workshops (Bottom Line Innovation Associates, Inc.). He
maintains up-to-date by regular contact with leaders in
this area through active memberships in The Innovation
Network and The Creative Education Foundation in the United
States. Ian is also an accredited facilitator of the Myers
Briggs Type Indicator.

For
the past eight years Ian has helped companies develop their
teams into effective units. He uses a variety of tools,
including outdoor corporate team training. Ian is an enthusiastic
facilitator of group activities and has an easygoing style
that makes him comfortable to be with. Ian had a successful
career as an athlete in the Decathlon event achieving World
Top 100 ranking, winning Australian Track and Field Championship
medals, being chosen as Captain of the NSW team and breaking
the NSW Decathlon record. Ian's life experiences have given
him a zest for life and provided a gold mine of understanding
about people, communication, creativity, competition and
success!

Dr. Greg
Smith
Dr. Greg Smith returned to Melbourne, Australia and joined
the Strategic Industry Research Foundation as its Managing
Director in March 1999 after 17 years with various companies
in USA and Europe. Most recently, he was with Alcoa in
Pittsburgh as a Director of the Alcoa Technical Center.
There he had responsibility for the technical resources
of Alcoa's central laboratories.

However,
for most of 1998, he undertook to drive a new approach
to global technology strategy and technical auditing processes
across all of Alcoa's businesses. This ultimately led
to a complete reorganization of Alcoa's technology management
processes.
Dr. Smith
previously worked with AlliedSignal where he held the
position of Vice-President of its Corporate R&D laboratories.
He was a member of AlliedSignal's technology board, led
a broad based re-engineering of corporate technology and
introduced a highly productive core process for front
end innovation.
Greg began
his industrial career with Exxon Chemical Company where
he had various assignments in technology management and
in new business development in Australia, Belgium and
USA. He holds a Ph.D. in materials engineering from the
Cranfield University of Technology (UK) and MSc and BSc
degrees from the University of Melbourne.

Jack
W. Johnson
Jack
Johnson owns his own Executive Coaching practice
helping executives at all levels dramatically improve
performance. He is formerly Senior Organization
Development Consultant and Executive Coach for the
American Red Cross and formerly internal Organization
Development Consultant and Executive Coach for The
Smithsonian Institution. Jack is a highly experienced
teacher and facilitator of Bottom Line Innovation
work sessions.

Jack
is a registered architect and previously served
as such for the Navy, Army, and Air Force Corps
of Engineers, as well as private industry. He holds
a Bachelors and Masters Degree of Architecture,
and a graduate level Certificate in Engineering
Administration. He earned the title of Certified
Professional Coach from the International Coach
Federation, and holds a Certificate of Organization
Development from Georgetown University, and a Certificate
of Organizational Creativity and Innovation from
Innovation University of which he is a Founding
Fellow. He is certified facilitator in Bottom
Line Innovation and the KAI Inventory, as
well as Myers-Briggs Type Indicator.

Myers Squibb, Intel, The Brookings Institution,
Dupont, Crompton Chemicals, The Principle Financial
Group, National Public Radio, Pioneer Seed and others.

Dr.
Richard Tait
Richard
has more than 27 years of industrial and consulting experience
in the areas of product innovation, R&D/technology
management, creative problem solving and new business
development. Richard is former Innovation Manager of the
DuPont Center for Creativity & Innovation where he
lead projects to shorten the cycle time for new products.
In
his 22-year DuPont career, he also held technical and
leadership positions in DuPont's Central Research and
Development, DuPont Corp R&D Planning, and was an
R&D Lab Director. Richard is now an Director of Bottom
Line Innovation Associates.
Richard
is a certified facilitator for "Bottom Line Innovation"
and the "Kirton Adaption-Innovation Inventory"
(KAI) and is an experienced project management and team
resource/coach. His client list includes a number of the
Fortune 500 companies in chemicals, foods, and communications.
Richard
earned a BS and PhD in physics and has written for both
the technical and business press. Recent publications
include "The Sponsorship Process to Strengthen Innovation"
(published in R&D Innovator magazine), "Innovation:
Taking Ideas to Market" (published in the book, Total
Creativity in Business and Industry: Roadmap to Building
a More Innovative Organization), and "Better New
Business Development at DuPont" Research Technology

Dr. Calvin
L. Moyer
Dr. Calvin
(Cal) Moyer is the founder of Strategic Learning Systems,
Inc. and serves as the Director of Human Relations. He
takes responsibilities in marketing, workshop design,
customer relations, along with building and supporting
the firm's network of more than 200 Partners and Associates.
Dr. Moyer served DuPont for 25 years, most of that in
Human Relations, and retired as the Human Relations Manager
for the company's 10,000 employee Polymer Products Department.
At DuPont, he gained experience in many diverse areas
such as customer relations, research and development,
technical support, recruiting, personnel, labor relations,
salary and benefit administration, training and development,
organizational development, and coaching at all levels
of the organization.
Dr. Moyer
is an Adjunct Instructor at Wilmington College (Delaware)
where he teaches Creativity in Business as well as Labor
Relations. Dr. Moyer holds a Ph.D. in Organic Chemistry
from Harvard University.

Dr.
Ronald M. Harris
Ronald
(Ron) Harris brings to Bottom Line Innovation Associates
a unique combination of academic, technical, and
business experience. He earned his Ph.D. in Physical
Chemistry from Harvard University and completed
post-doctoral studies in cancer etiology at the
Worcester Foundation for Experimental Biology. He
also has a Certificate in Industrial Management
from the Worcester Polytechnic Institute and was
a college professor for some nine years. Ron held
technical and management positions at GE Plastics,
and at Ferro Corporation he was Chief Technology
Officer for the Color and Glass business unit. As
CTO he also served as Mentor for Innovation and
Business Growth and reorganized the global technology
function to align with business strategy. Dr. Harris
contributed chapters for two books on the subject
of coloring plastics, he holds 10 patents, and has
coordinated and spoken at numerous symposia in this
field.

Robin
A. Karol, Ph.D., NPDP
Dr.
Robin A. Karol is former Manager of the DuPont Consulting
Solutions, an internal business consulting group.
She led the New Offering Development Process which
installed a newly revised Innovation process for
growth. She is a certified New Product Development
Professional with the PDMA. Robin holds a Ph.D.
in Biochemistry from SUNY Buffalo and did a Postdoctoral
fellowship at Albert Einstein College of Medicine.
At
Dupont, Robin held many positions including Research
Supervisor of the Virology Research Group, Systems
TeamLeader in Clinical Diagnostics, and Quality
Manager of R&D for the IMED (Imaging Medical).
Prior to joining DuPont, she was an Assistant Professor
of Medicine at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston,
TX. Robin has consulted with non-Dupont clients
including Colgate-Palmolive, TetraPak, and Mitsubishi
Chemical, and brings a wealth of academic and industrial
experience to our clients.

Dr.
F. M. Ross Armbrecht, Jr.
Dr.
F. M. Ross Armbrecht, Jr. is Executive Director
of the Delaware Foundation for Science and Mathematics
Education. Dr. Armbrecht earned his BS with Honors
in Chemistry from Duke University and his Ph.D.
in inorganic chemistry from the Massachusetts Institute
of Technology. Joining DuPont as a Research Chemist
in 1968, he later served in various technical and
management positions, including Technical Manager
for the Ethylene Copolymers Business, Laboratory
Manager for Polymer Products Research, and Strategic
Planning Consultant for the DuPont Experimental
Station. After serving as Director of Technology
for AlliedSignal's Polymer Additives business, he
joined Witco Corporation in 1995, retiring from
the role of Vice President, Technology and Chair
of the Technology Leadership Team. From 2001 to
2005 he served as President of the Industrial Research
Institute, Inc. (IRI) in Washington, DC. He is now
an Emeritus Member of IRI, a member of the American
Association for the Advancement of Science (AAAS),
and the American Chemical Society. He serves on
the Committee on Science, Engineering and Public
Policy for the AAAS, as Chair of the Advisory Committee
for the Advanced Technology Program at the National
Institutes for Standards and Technology, on the
Board for the National Alliance for State Science
and Mathematics Coalitions, and as Director for
Mednovus, Inc., a growing medical device company.
He has consulted with industry on research, technology,
and business management.
Dr.
Armbrecht's interest in globalization of research
stems from his former membership in and leading
role at IRI, his service on the Government, University,
Industry Research Roundtable at the National Academies,
his ties to the community of technology counselors
of embassies in Washington, and his leadership of
a yearly gathering, while IRI President, of the
Directors of IRI's member companies' laboratories
located in the Peoples Republic of China.
