Prerequisites For Leadership

The organization's leadership MUST:

1. Require that his/her people request BLI work sessions when they have problems that meet the stated criteria, and actively participate when appropriate. This level of support is critical.

2. Expect Facilitators to assist other parts of the organization with BLI work sessions, even when it means the Facilitator's principal work may be delayed during that time.

3. Absolutely avoid penalizing Facilitators who take time away from their assigned area to run BLI work sessions for another part of the organization.

4. Find ways to support and acknowledge during performance appraisals the contributions made by Facilitators.
